A woman...

A woman welcomes a man inside her body

and she becomes a glorious feast for him

and he becomes a glorious feast for her

Her hands embrace him like the feathers of a swan

Her body is a temple where he resides in holy pilgrimage -

a humble traveler to her holy womb.

A woman welcomes a man inside her body

She offers her breasts to his eyes and to his lips

so he can drink her and be fed and be ecstatic with the joy of their love

She offers her hips and unfolds herself freely to him

like a garden of Eden long lost

like forgiveness, like the first

breath he took beside her...

a woman welcomes a man inside her body

offering shelter

offering peace and safety

like a harbour

like a lighthouse

like a cave

inside her a man at last becomes God again...

Far far away

Now, let me tell you that here Is where I mostly love to stand.

First, in the morning, there is the wine-like sea, green and blue

like eyes staring back at me.

Then  later, I walk towards the red cliffs

while memories dance around me and then jump - no use to try and stop them.

Water moves endlessly azure and vast, tender and cruel

 and It engulfs everything.

As if everything remembered never lived.

Evening comes. The sun falls into the sea before me,

shining and sharp like shattered glass,

splinters of light fly everywhere,

scattered across chaos, maybe... my thoughts...

Somewhere on a lonely planet

there is a well inside a well

and there lies the echo of my thoughts.

Back here,

now there is also this earth, wet soil,

oregano and mint under the olive trees,

mercy and forgiveness and love --

and bees singing around me

an ancient song, a whisper

that speaks about

lost lovers,

and lizards crawling under stones, and wild pink oleanders.

Light is dancing with dust

like the first day of Creation.

Then I see birds

I gaze high above into the passing clouds, without knowing why

How did I get here? Where are we lost?

What did I miss, in this life?

I ask and ask again but only the wind echoes softly

through the leaves of a lemon tree.

There lies my answer.

Somewhere deep inside a well within a well

on a lonely dying planet far away,

a rock drops

and my dream cracks

open in two.

China Fragile

Her heart is made of fine china porcelain
The love she feels is pure white
Her wounds spread, indigo blue, across the surface.
Sometimes,
she stands absolutely still in the middle of her sphere
she can listen the world flowing outside her window
a river of noise and people
coming and going

She cannot stand the noise
nor the people
nor the souls...

Then comes the rain
penetrating every little corner of her dream,
slowly drowning it into a deep sea of thoughts
that they never seem right,
and they never seem wrong.
-What a mess, she whispers,
what a waste of life...

And then comes the funny part where she vows to start anew
to start living
to stop loving
to stop trusting
just to stop...
to stop...
to stop...

After the rain ends
she remembers
many years ago
how she have broken those vows
again
But the thing is,
that the Now is waving to her from behind the crimson curtains
wrapped in bandages made of the same mistakes
--the only thing you repeat is the mistakes,
you see.
She feels sorry for her Then,
that once was  her Now.
Again, however,
is at the door
smiling and waving
out

So she gives up
and she follows
pretending
that she haven't heard
and she haven't noticed
that last faded crack
of her fine
 china heart...

Whispers

photo by © Michael Jurick, at  http://goo.gl/nThMj
Let's whisper words of love
Lost in each other's arms
This night is blessing us with stars and fireflies

My lips on your lips
Your hands hold me softly
We share the silence
This night keeps us safe
Hidden away from the world
The moon is rising, blood red, from the horizon
Compassionate for the lovers

We move with every wave
My heart full of you
Your heart full of me
Making love with the tide

So soon, so soon
This night will pass and be gone
forever...

Night child

 Moonlight Night - Christian Schloe

Tearing the veil of the night
i raise my hands to the stars
worshiping Love
in the only way i know
weaving shadows into starlight
Until the morning finds my dreams softly sleeping
in another life...

In my dream

John William Waterhouse, The Naiad, 1893

    In my dream
I paint the night with your smile
and the shy stars in your eyes
Oh how i wish i could steal
    the purple kiss
    that softly sleeps
    on your lips
     - floating in silence...

Nocturne

"...Tonight the light at my feet
flows on the grass in liquid silver waves
soft mists and crawling fog
and the sea somewhere in the distance
I count a few stars trapped between my fingers
as the moon hides wrapped inside a veil of clouds
wondering
It is not clear to me, the colored glass sorrow
 that  drips shaped in  prisms...
                 But...
Here under this alien sky
away from everything that I am,
into this night, I only want to dream of roses

Seagulls cry flying by.
I can hear the trees whispering.
I can almost hear the distant voices of dead feelings
or withering memories.
"This", i whisper to myself, "is a moment of truth".

All thoughts trapped into this deafening silence
 slowly spin around endlessly
   like an ancient nebula

Am I the universe looking at itself?
Do I  exist only inside the eyes of those who love me?...

My soul curls  naked under the old oak tree outside the window
hidden in a dream, she sleeps tired
              waiting for the rain
to gently wash away the moon dust..."

Euphoria

Cherry Blossom in the Night, by Katsushika Oui

deliciously sweet
the frenzy of love into our veins
a taste of spring
under the velvet cherry trees
the world fades away in flowing petals

A quiet stream in winter

I love you
peacefully like a quiet stream
in winter
when everything is frozen
a blossom sleeps waiting for spring

And now in Autumn as I wait

Lionello Balestrieri, The Kiss

And now, in Autumn, as I wait
for winter's hard and long cold days
my mind with your reflection plays
this evening late

The room in shadows, walls in grey
All colours blend in one blur knot
A vision painted with your thought,
flies by, astray

Some call it longing, or desire,
a madness send from gods above
asking my heart, I name it love
a shiny fire

Thin purple leaves caress the moon
I smile to chase the clouds away
dreaming you will  beside me lay
loving me soon

Discovery...

photo found at http://goo.gl/w5X4yU

"...The verse was there inside a book long forgotten - "anthology of poetry" or something. Years were unkind to it.The once bright red colored cover -now a dead blood faded red.As if this paper relic bled to death before it ended inside this dusty graveyard of thoughts...

I opened it with care like touching the fragile bones of a woman who was loved once, as she was laying buried inside an ancient tomb...The edge of yellow rusted page turned to gold dust and was scattered by my breath across the room.
And there on the top of that corroded paper was...one single line , there, written by an unknown hand, in another life.
There, waiting for me to find it almost an eternity later, this line...
I felt them imprinted, almost flowing under my fingers, the words: "From the Thorn to the Rose..."
Suddenly i remembered your smile the last time you held me close...
The longing still so strong...
And then as the words were dancing inside my eyes flashing, I realized all at once that a long way of no return was spiraling inside my head, leading, always, to the pain of your thorn... "

Soliloquy under the stars

©Luyuphotography2015

swimming into a river of words
the moon slowly slips from the sky
and ejects my longing
straight into this mercurial night

It is not the stars nor the moon
that hold my thoughts captive
nor the galaxy that flows silent
filling my heart with a soft sweetness
dripping
distant and pale
like your arms around me when you sleep

You wonder if i love you
you could just ask me  - when the stars were born?
the echo in my eyes would be the right answer

It is not the stars, my love
it is not the agony of being human
nor the pain of not being just the morning dew
nor the question what is the color of my heart

It is only me feeling small
almost transparent like a nocturnal crystal butterfly
fluttering inside your dreams
breathing in a distant constellation

You wonder if I love you
I melt across the  horizon
giving you the answer

It is only me,
feeling small...

We all become small under the stars

White and Pure...

 white and pure
scented memory of your kiss
under the jasmine
it stays and dies between my lips
just to be born again inside my dream

She

original painting from Cykl AUREOLE Copyright © 2015 Karol Bak all rights reserved
Lost into the misty evening, floating among the shadows, the house is swimming into waves of silence. She rests on the sofa by the window, reading a book, or at least pretending she is reading it. For some time now it is forgotten, laying half open on her lap, a page folded in two like a pale origami bird waiting in between the pages to fly away around the room penetrating her thoughts. A mind full of images that buzz in the frequency of loving visions... Bodies that swirl and move spiraling in shapes and forms oozing the very essence of Love.
She sits peacefully absorbing this calm energy that runs inside her veins like a quiet river of fire. Memories dance in an array of shining icons, she can almost touch them as they appear and disappear inside her half sleeping mind...
Now a smile, a laughter of him as they have breakfast and she does a funny face with her mouth forming a kiss...Here a picture of her hands under the pillow as she sleeps and he's sneaking over her and caresses her shoulder... There, his lips going lower across her belly, then lower, seeking to gift her their unique pleasure...
Lost in these visions, she doesn't hear him when he is tiptoeing behind the sofa towards her... Suddenly his hands slip down from her chest to her waist... For a moment they rest cupping her breasts, feeling her heartbeat under her thin white shirt... He smells her hair, his lips on her ears sighing softly... She realizes that he loves to hold her like that, enjoying the sense of her skin covered by the cotton garment... She moves a bit and moans softly, happy by that touch, the feeling of him holding her, touching her flesh... They both look outside the window absorbing the moment, absorbing the intensity of the bodily contact... Her happiness fills him echoing into the silence. He feels complete, infiltrated into his every pore from her substance. For a fragment of time, he is she. Overwhelmed and surprised from his own feelings, he kisses her forehead saying nothing. The evening slowly gives its place to the darkness. They both watch the first star appear far away beyond their horizon, pinned on the blue sky. They both wait for this night to give flesh to their dreaming. Soon...
