Per Amica Silentia Lunae, Anima Mundi ch. 34, By William Butler Yeats

"...When I remember that Shelley calls our minds “mirrors of the fire for which all thirst,” I cannot but ask the question all have asked, “What or who has cracked the mirror?” I begin to study the only self that I can know, myself, and to wind the thread upon the perne again.

At certain moments, always unforeseen, I become happy, most commonly when at hazard I have opened some book of verse. Sometimes it is my own verse when, instead of discovering new technical flaws, I read with all the excitement of the first writing. Perhaps I am sitting in some crowded restaurant, the open book beside me, or closed, my excitement having over-brimmed the page. I look at the strangers near as if I had known them all my life, and it seems strange that I cannot speak to them: everything fills me with affection, I have no longer any fears or any needs; I do not even remember that this happy mood must come to an end. It seems as if the vehicle had suddenly grown pure and far extended and so luminous that one half imagines that the images from Anima Mundi, embodied there and drunk with that sweetness, would, as some country drunkard who had thrown a wisp into his own thatch, burn up time..."

Nocturne

"...Tonight the light at my feet
flows on the grass in liquid silver waves
soft mists and crawling fog
and the sea somewhere in the distance
I count a few stars trapped between my fingers
as the moon hides wrapped inside a veil of clouds
wondering
It is not clear to me, the colored glass sorrow
 that  drips shaped in  prisms...
                 But...
Here under this alien sky
away from everything that I am,
into this night, I only want to dream of roses

Seagulls cry flying by.
I can hear the trees whispering.
I can almost hear the distant voices of dead feelings
or withering memories.
"This", i whisper to myself, "is a moment of truth".

All thoughts trapped into this deafening silence
 slowly spin around endlessly
   like an ancient nebula

Am I the universe looking at itself?
Do I  exist only inside the eyes of those who love me?...

My soul curls  naked under the old oak tree outside the window
hidden in a dream, she sleeps tired
              waiting for the rain
to gently wash away the moon dust..."

Soliloquy under the stars

©Luyuphotography2015

swimming into a river of words
the moon slowly slips from the sky
and ejects my longing
straight into this mercurial night

It is not the stars nor the moon
that hold my thoughts captive
nor the galaxy that flows silent
filling my heart with a soft sweetness
dripping
distant and pale
like your arms around me when you sleep

You wonder if i love you
you could just ask me  - when the stars were born?
the echo in my eyes would be the right answer

It is not the stars, my love
it is not the agony of being human
nor the pain of not being just the morning dew
nor the question what is the color of my heart

It is only me feeling small
almost transparent like a nocturnal crystal butterfly
fluttering inside your dreams
breathing in a distant constellation

You wonder if I love you
I melt across the  horizon
giving you the answer

It is only me,
feeling small...

We all become small under the stars

White and Pure...

 white and pure
scented memory of your kiss
under the jasmine
it stays and dies between my lips
just to be born again inside my dream

She

original painting from Cykl AUREOLE Copyright © 2015 Karol Bak all rights reserved
Lost into the misty evening, floating among the shadows, the house is swimming into waves of silence. She rests on the sofa by the window, reading a book, or at least pretending she is reading it. For some time now it is forgotten, laying half open on her lap, a page folded in two like a pale origami bird waiting in between the pages to fly away around the room penetrating her thoughts. A mind full of images that buzz in the frequency of loving visions... Bodies that swirl and move spiraling in shapes and forms oozing the very essence of Love.
She sits peacefully absorbing this calm energy that runs inside her veins like a quiet river of fire. Memories dance in an array of shining icons, she can almost touch them as they appear and disappear inside her half sleeping mind...
Now a smile, a laughter of him as they have breakfast and she does a funny face with her mouth forming a kiss...Here a picture of her hands under the pillow as she sleeps and he's sneaking over her and caresses her shoulder... There, his lips going lower across her belly, then lower, seeking to gift her their unique pleasure...
Lost in these visions, she doesn't hear him when he is tiptoeing behind the sofa towards her... Suddenly his hands slip down from her chest to her waist... For a moment they rest cupping her breasts, feeling her heartbeat under her thin white shirt... He smells her hair, his lips on her ears sighing softly... She realizes that he loves to hold her like that, enjoying the sense of her skin covered by the cotton garment... She moves a bit and moans softly, happy by that touch, the feeling of him holding her, touching her flesh... They both look outside the window absorbing the moment, absorbing the intensity of the bodily contact... Her happiness fills him echoing into the silence. He feels complete, infiltrated into his every pore from her substance. For a fragment of time, he is she. Overwhelmed and surprised from his own feelings, he kisses her forehead saying nothing. The evening slowly gives its place to the darkness. They both watch the first star appear far away beyond their horizon, pinned on the blue sky. They both wait for this night to give flesh to their dreaming. Soon...

The Lovely Night, by Goethe

photo found at http://goo.gl/81ROOo
Now I leave this little hut
Where my beloved lives,
Walking now with veiled steps
Through the shadowy leaves.
Luna shines through bush and oak,
Zephyr proclaims her path,
And the birch trees bowing low
Shed incense on her track.
How beautiful the coolness
Of this lovely summer night!
How the soul fills with happiness
In this true place of quiet!
I can scarcely grasp the bliss!
Yet, Heaven, I would shun
A thousand nights like this,
If my darling granted one.
