Metamorphosis

Change as you must, 
but always remember:
Love only favors those who believe.
Beware of the beauty 
that can only deceive
And the fading glow of the slow dying ember
Alas, you’ll be the one to blame
You tried hard,
 but remained the same...

    Loving your use of rhyme here, and the visual that "fading glow of the slow dying ember" evokes.

    Thank you :) the rhyme came to me quite unexpectedly, it's my first attempt to the quadrille and I wasn't sure :)

      Thank you and am glad you liked my first quadrille attempt, I admit I was a bit hesitant when i wrote this:) Sometimes people wish to change for the wrong reasons... I am also grateful for the link correction :)
